Fantasy League Rules
The 2022 season will be a weekly head-to-head matchup featuring a weekly salary cap format on the RT Sports platform. Those of you who played in the league last year and those who are familiar with DFS leagues should be very familiar with this. For everyone else, a salary cap format means that each week, your team will receive a budget of $50,000 virtual “dollars” to “spend” on drafting your team. Unlike season-long rules where once a player is drafted he’s no longer available, this format lets you pick a new team every week.
Team owners will assemble their 9-player lineup for the week while remaining below the salary cap. Owners are free to swap players in and out of their lineup at any time up until the player’s game kicks off. Salaries of each player will be updated each week to reflect matchups, injuries and performance trends. The higher the projected points that player is expected to produce, the more you’ll have to spend to add them to your lineup. If you want someone like Patrick Mahomes or Christian McCaffrey on your roster, you’ll have to budget wisely. Each week, rosters reset and you can pick a new team! No need to worry about injuries, leaving a player on the bench or waiver claims.
The regular season for all leagues will last 14 weeks. Weeks 1, 2 and 3 of the season will be “all-play” weeks, meaning the top scoring 6 teams in each league will receive a win and the bottom-scoring 6 teams in each league will receive a loss. After that, from Weeks 4 thru 14, each team will play the other teams in their league once.
At the conclusion of Week 14, 6 teams will make the playoffs: the 4 teams with the best records, plus the two teams with the highest cumulative point total among the remaining 8 teams (who will enter as the #5 and #6 seed wild card teams).

Playoffs will be a head-to-head bracket format that takes place over three weeks: Weeks 15, 16, and 17.
At the conclusion of week 14, six teams will make the playoffs. The top four teams based on wins and losses with tiebreakers applied, plus two wildcard teams from the remaining eight teams based on most points scored in the regular season. Playoffs will be seeded by wins and losses. In Week 15, the #1 and #2 seeds will receive a bye. Seeds #3 and #6 will play head-to-head as will seeds #4 and #5. Winners from Week 15 will advance to play the top two seeds in Week 16.
During Week 17, teams will be playing to win three titles: League Winner (head-to-head champion in each league), City Winner (determined by calculating the highest overall Week 17 score among each city’s League Winners), and Overall Winner (determined by calculating the highest overall Week 17 score among City Winners).
In the event that two or more teams in a league have the same win-loss record, the tie will be broken using the following criteria, in order:
- Division Win-Loss Record
- Total Points Scored in all games played.
- Head-to-Head Win-Loss
- Record against all tied teams
- Total Points Scored in Head-to-Head games against all tied teams
The two wildcard teams will be the teams with the most total points scored in all games that are not one of the top 4 seeds. In the event that two or more teams, that are not the top 4 seeds, are tied for the most total points scored in all games the tie will be broken using the following criteria, in order:
- Overall Win-Loss Record
- Division Win-Loss Record
- Head-to-Head Win-Loss record against all tied teams
- Total Points Scored in Head-to-Head games against all tied teams
