After a whirlwind tour across the country — Arizona, Minnesota, New York, San Diego and St. Louis — we’re finally ready for head-to-head competition.

14 Major League ballplayers (and one Stanley Cup champion) are competing alongside fans for charity, fun and prizes this football season. These guys have climbed to the pinnacle of their sports, playing at the highest level … but how well do they know fantasy football?

Yahoo! Fantasy Sports’ Automated Insights crunched the numbers, analyzing each draft pick.

Who had the best performance on draft day? San Diego Padres catcher Austin Hedges, who earned a BLI athlete-best A- for his selections.

“After drawing a juicy draft position (No. 3 overall), Austin Hedges had an exceptional performance,” the review reads. “Austin Hedges (is) predicted to finish 1st in Austin Hedges Fantasy Impact with a record of 10-3 (2,114 points).”

Judge Austin’s team for yourself:

1.(3)Christian McCaffrey (Car – RB)

Automated Insights was particularly impressed with Austin’s 15th-round selection, Atlanta running back Ito Smith, calling it his best pick of the draft.

Wondering how the other athletes performed?

St. Louis Blues hero and Stanley Cup champion Pat Maroon was a late addition to the squad, but his team has a lot to prove. Maroon started out strong, selecting Arizona running back David Johnson with the No. 8 pick, and getting Tampa Bay receiver Chris Godwin at No. 56 (his average draft position is No. 44).
