At Big League Impact, our mission is simple: Help people in times of need. Since 2013, our organization has partnered with MLB players and their fans to raise money and awareness for a variety of causes, such as childhood cancer, global poverty, and access to clean water.

For years, Big League Impact has worked with MLB pitcher Luke Weaver (currently of the Cincinnati Reds) to support Consider the Lily, a nonprofit that provides aftercare homes in Manila, Philippines, for abused, exploited, and trafficked Filipino girls. In 2022, Big League Impact helped Weaver, as well as pitcher Chase Anderson (CIN) and former catcher Nick Hundley, raise $57,640 for the organization through Weaver’s fan-supported #ALLWIN campaign and our Players Only Fantasy Football League.

“We are thrilled to provide you with an update on the impact of your generous donation to Consider the Lily,” writes director Kim Hommell. “Your support has made a significant difference in the lives of the girls in our care, and we are truly grateful for your partnership in this critical work.”

Funds raised through Weaver’s participation in Big League Impact’s #ALLWIN campaign and Players Only Fantasy Football League have helped Consider the Lily expand their reach to offer help to even more girls in need.

“The funds you provided are being used to provide counseling, education, and justice, along with physical needs like food and transportation,” Hommell writes. “With your support, we can now get another van to take the girls to school, court appearances, and Sunday worship services. This will make a significant difference in the lives of these girls and their ability to access the resources they need to heal and grow.

“Once again, we cannot express enough our gratitude for your support. Your generosity has made a profound impact on the lives of these girls, and we are honored to have your partnership in this work.”

Thank you to Consider the Lily for sharing this update and to the Weavers for their support of this inspiring organization.
