Big League Impact FAQ

Big League Impact is a 501(c)(3) organization that supports essential needs causes (e.g., food, water, shelter and other basic needs) domestically and abroad. Each of our events raises funds to support charitable causes locally, nationally, and internationally. Ballplayers in each city select charities to receive 75 percent of the net proceeds from their event, and the remaining 25 percent supports a collaborative project to provide food, water and shelter to an international community in need.
Big League Impact, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Your contribution is tax deductible to the extent allowable by law. You will receive a donation receipt letter for your contribution. Receipt letters for Big League Impact premium leagues will memorialize the amount of your donation and the estimated value you will receive in exchange for your contribution. The value received varies from league to league based on the food, swag, tour, tickets and other elements of the experience in each city. We estimate the value of the experience in most cities to be between $175 and $225 per attendee. Please consult your tax advisor for more information.
We know, this isn’t a small donation request. But the premium leagues provide a very limited opportunity available to only a few dozen donors in each city. In order to provide the appropriate experience and interaction, there are no more than 11 donor teams per participating athlete in any city. And the ratio may be even lower in certain cities. We are trying to make the greatest impact possible for those in need, so the donation levels are set accordingly. We have many other ways for you to get involved with Big League Impact.
Yes! Big League Impact provides a unique and memorable opportunity, and due to high demand and limited space, the contribution levels are indeed significant. However, we do welcome and appreciate support at all levels. However, the Big League Impact Mid-Season Challenge has a much lower price point. For as little as a $50 charitable contribution, you can play fantasy football against pro athletes and have a chance to win your way into a premium league next year! Learn more and sign up here!
Yes! Our friends at RealTime Fantasy Sports (who manage and monitor these fantasy football leagues) can help get you up to speed. For premium leagues, you will receive a draft guide on Draft Day to help you build and maintain a competitive roster.
Yes! Go ahead and register using your gift recipient’s name and contact information. Then go through the credit card payment process with your name, contact information, and payment method. We’ll contact the recipient directly with event details. At this time, we don’t have a way to let the recipient know that this is your generous gift, so we’ll let you have the honor of informing him/her!
All conference teams are assigned randomly, so we cannot guarantee that you and your friends will be able to play in the same conference. Some leagues offer an option that allows you to select your conference for an additional contribution (subject to availability). Check your league page for details.
Yes! You are not required to stay for the additional draft day activities. Just come to the stadium for the draft portion of the event, draft your team then continue to play online throughout the entire season.
We’d be sorry if you have to miss out. Your charitable contribution is non-refundable. You’re welcome to transfer your registration to another person. Please let us know immediately if you’re transferring your registration so we can be in touch with the person to whom you are transferring your registration.
We want the athletes and celebrities to focus on drafting their team and interacting with you. Don’t worry, though, we will provide you with an autographed item that will be signed prior to draft day. We do encourage you to bring your camera, take advantage of photo opportunities, and enjoy the draft day experience, but please do not bring memorabilia or request autographs during the draft event.
Your registration at the Participant Level is for one attendee only. For select leagues, you have the option to upgrade to the Co-Manager Level, which includes admittance for one guest to the Draft Day event. If you have already purchased Participant Level entry into a league and would like to upgrade to the Co-Manager Level, please contact us. Otherwise, we’re sorry but space is limited so no other guests are permitted.
No! Fantasy sports leagues are games of skill. The federal government has provided an exemption for fantasy football leagues such as Big League Impact from federal gambling laws. Read more about this topic from the Fantasy Sports Trade Association.
