Big League Impact’s Swing For Impact Topgolf fundraiser event arrives in Arizona Diamondbacks country — Scottsdale — on Sunday, featuring Nick Ahmed, Luke Weaver and several of their teammates.

The previous Swing For Impact event, in the Detroit suburb of Auburn Hills, raised more than $34,000 for Matt & Ashley Boyd’s Kingdom Home foundation. This time, we’re teeing off for three incredible causes — Phoenix Rescue Mission, Food For The Hungry and Striking Out Poverty. Money raised at this event will:

  • Help local people via Phoenix Rescue Mission
  • Aid Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh
  • Build a community center in the Dominican Republic

Topgolf is like the driving range — but more entertaining. With colorful targets and food service, it’s way more fun than the stale country club. Sponsors, donors and fans can sign up to share a bay with an Arizona Diamondbacks player. There will also be competitions where you can square off with an athlete to see who can score the most points. It’s the ultimate fan experience! You can get to know your favorite players off the field, while helping people in Phoenix and around the world.

“The organization that I trust and have been working with for the last two years, Food for the Hungry (FH), is working with their partners to bring primary healthcare to people in these camps,” Weaver wrote on his PledgeIt page. “This includes treating patients every day and saving lives. Another important part of the program is hygiene and disease prevention and treatment education to the refugee and host community families. Health facilities will be stocked with highly skilled healthcare professionals from Bangladesh, as well as volunteer doctors and nurses from around the world. The facilities will be stocked with life-saving supplies like gloves and bandages that help prevent the spread of infection. FH and their partners will also work to integrate mental health support and counseling into their medical health services.”

Bays are going fast, so sign up today!
